A Lesson in Authority

John 13:4-5 (NIV) - 4  so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5  After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

Jesus redefined authority.

Authority, following his example, is a calling to serve others.

When you are in a position of authority, I encourage you to follow Christ’s example.

In doing so you will influence others to do the same.

Look for ways to use your authority to serve Christ by serving others.

Your authority is not really yours.

It is a gift to you from Christ.

Use it to glorify your Savior, not yourself.

My prayer for you today is that you exercise authority through serving Christ.

Expecting God’s Best,
Bro. Rob
