About Authority
Matthew 28:18 (NIV) - Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Some people exert authority over us.
Other things such as habits, thoughts, past events, and even anxieties over our futures, also claim authority over us.
Some people say they are their only authority.
Christians understand Christ is our highest authority.
In the noise of the competition, Christ’s claim is clear.
He is our authority.
We obey him.
I encourage you to pray for those in authority over you.
I also encourage you to be wise and humble when you exhibit authority over others.
My prayer for you today is that you are following Christ’s authority in your life.
