One Decision

In Acts 16, as Paul and Silas were praying and worshiping God, there was a violent earthquake.

This earthquake shook the foundations of the jail, the doors were opened, and the chains were loosened.

The jailer knew that if the prisoners escaped, he would be blamed, so he drew his sword to take his own life.

Paul assured the jailer that all of the prisoners were present.

The jailer ran to Paul and Silas and asked, “What must I do to be saved?”

Paul and Silas led the jailer to Christ, but the story doesn’t end there.

“He brought them into his house, set a meal before them, and rejoiced because he had come to believe in God with his entire household.”

One man made one decision.  Because of his decision his whole household came to know Jesus.

We are faced with decisions every day.  Our decisions have eternal impacts, especially at home.

Joshua proclaimed, “Choose this day whom you will serve…as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).

In Christ,
Jonathan
