God's Rescue Team
Genesis 14:14 (NIV) - When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he called out the 318 trained men born in his household and went in pursuit as far as Dan.
There was a battle in the valley Siddim. Sodom and Gomorrah were defeated.
Lot and his possessions were carried off by the conquering kings because he was living in Sodom.
When Abram learned of Lot’s predicament, he took 318 trained men to rescue Lot and recover Lot’s possessions.
Each of us knows at least one person who has made bad decisions.
Sinful decisions.
Maybe their decisions have carried them to unhealthy physical, emotional, and especially spiritual, destinations.
Abraham demonstrated grace in rescuing Lot.
Christ demonstrated grace as he died to rescue each of us.
We demonstrate grace as we reach out with God’s love to rescue those we know.
My prayer for you today is that you are a member of God’s rescue team.
