Grace Displayed
Genesis 13:8-9 (NIV) - 8 So Abram said to Lot, "Let's not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and mine, for we are brothers.
9 Is not the whole land before you? Let's part company. If you go to the left, I'll go to the right; if you go to the right, I'll go to the left."
Abram acted with grace to end the quarreling with Lot and his herdsmen.
He suggested they part company.
Abram allowed Lot to have first choice on where to settle even though he had the right to choose first instead of Lot.
Disagreements, sometimes even quarrels, happen in life.
In our disagreements, let’s look for ways to demonstrate God’s grace.
Sometimes this may mean giving the other person first choice even when we feel we deserve it.
Whenever we demonstrate grace, God is glorified and Christ is exalted.
My prayer for you today is that you demonstrate God’s grace, even in quarrels.
