Act in Faith

Genesis 12:11-13 (NIV) - 11  As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, "I know what a beautiful woman you are. 12  When the Egyptians see you, they will say, 'This is his wife.' Then they will kill me but will let you live. 13  Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you."

Sarai was Abram’s wife. She was also his half-sister.

For his own benefit, Abram instructed Sarai to tell the Egyptians only that she was his sister.

I think Abram was acting from fear of the Egyptians instead of faith in God in this instance.

Acting from fear can lead us to make poor decisions. Compromising decisions. Sinful decisions.

The remedy to our fear is faith in God.

Acting in faith always honors God.

My prayer for you today is that your actions are based on your faith in God.

Expecting God’s Best,
Bro Rob
