Stop Opposing God
2 Chronicles 35:21 (NIV) - But Neco sent messengers to him, saying, "What quarrel is there between you and me, O king of Judah? It is not you I am attacking at this time, but the house with which I am at war. God has told me to hurry; so stop opposing God, who is with me, or he will destroy you."
Josiah had been a godly leader.
Now, however, Josiah was opposing God by going to battle against Neco, the king of Egypt.
Pardon me for asking but, are you opposing God?
We oppose God when we resist his work in our lives.
We can oppose God in either our actions or our attitudes.
We can oppose God even if we are mature disciples.
If we oppose God, the Holy Spirit convicts us and calls us to repentance.
My prayer for you today is that you will stop any opposition you may have toward God’s work in your life.
