Supernaturally Saved

Supernaturally Saved

The virgin birth is a reminder to us that our salvation is supernatural.

In John 1:13, John tells us that, as believers, we are “those who were born, not of natural descent, or of the will of the flesh, or the will of man, but of God.”

Salvation does not come from human effort, nor is it a human accomplishment.

The virgin birth points to the helplessness of humans to even take the first step in the salvation process.

The virgin birth would not have even happened without the presence and work of the Holy Spirit.

The same goes for our salvation.

We are convicted of our sins by the Holy Spirit, and we are drawn by the Spirit to faith in God through Jesus alone.

The virgin birth of Jesus is a reminder that our salvation, though it came through humanity, is totally of God.

Thank God for his supernatural salvation!

In Christ,
Jonathan
