Christmas Humility

Christmas Humility

Luke 2:6-7 (NIV) - 6  While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7  and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

The birth of Christ was wrapped in humility.

His parents, the shepherds, the location, and manger all suggest humility.

Paul tells us, in Philippians 2:5-11, that humility characterized Christ’s entire life.

We live in a world that places a premium on pride.

Even Christmas can become a season of pride.

Christ reminds us, as his followers, that we live in humility before God.

How can you exercise humility before God and others?

My prayer for you today is that you are following the example of Christ by living in humility.

Expecting God’s Best,
Bro Rob
