Living and Loving

On Monday, we saw that we are chosen by God.  On Tuesday, we saw that we are alive in Christ.
Today, we see how to live out our walk with Christ.

Ephesians 4:1 tells us to “live worthy of the calling you have received.”

How do we do that?

Verse 2 answers this for us: “with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

In a world of chaos and disruption, full of sin and despair, we live by being people of peace.

In Matthew 5:9, Jesus tells us, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.”

Ephesians 4:32 gives us an essential reminder: forgiveness matters.

We cannot claim Christ’s forgiveness of our sins if we aren’t willing to forgive others.

Loving others, regardless of our differences, is just one way we live out our faith.

In Christ,
Jonathan
