Love always protects
1 Corinthians 13:7 (NIV) - It [love] always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Some Bible translations use the word “bear” instead of “protect”.
The word means to cover like a roof covers a structure. Therefore, the translation “protects”.
Love always protects others in every area of life. Love protects others physically, emotionally, intellectually, relationally, and spiritually.
Love provides a safe place for others in the storms of life.
Our protection of those we love does not overlook sin in their lives.
One way we protect them is to lovingly help them overcome sin in their lives.
Jesus perfectly modeled protecting love.
My prayer for you today is that you are demonstrating protective love to those around you.
