Open Our Eyes to See Clearly

Open our eyes to see clearly

Mark 8:25 (NIV) - Once more Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

This is the only record we have of Jesus working a gradual miracle.

The result of this gradual miracle was that this formerly blind man was able to see everything clearly.

This reminds me of Christ’s gradual work in our lives.

After we come to faith in Christ, he patiently and gradually works in our lives. As he does our “spiritual vision” improves.

Gradually Christ enables us to see clearly. In other words, to see ourselves, others,  and our world as he sees them.

Herschel Hobbs wrote, “No Christian should be content merely to see. He should let Christ develop him until he sees all things with a distinct vision. Thus, he shall see through the eyes of the Lord.” (An Exposition of the Four Gospels, vol.1, p.121)

My prayer for you today is that you are allowing Christ to help you see clearly.

Expecting God’s Best,
Bro. Rob
