Open your eyes to meditate on the promises of Scripture
Psalm 119:148 (NIV) - My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises.
The watches of the night were probably from sunset until 10:00pm, 10:00pm-2:00am, and 2:00am until dawn.
I believe the psalmist meant he continually meditated on God’s word.
We reserve specific times to read Scripture. However, we can always meditate on Scripture, by keeping it in our minds and on our hearts.
As we do so we will find ourselves approaching all of life from a God perspective.
This is called being a disciple.
My prayer for you today is that you are continually meditating on God’s Word.
