Fear of Losing Control
Matthew 6:33-34 (NIV) - 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
We want to control our lives. We fear when things happen in our lives that are out of our control.
We overcome this fear by trusting God. This is easily said but for most of us it is not easily done.
When we became Christians, we gave God control of both our eternal and earthly lives.
We have given God the “steering wheel” of our lives. God will always steer us in the best direction.
While God allows us to remain on earth we seek, trust and are content with his control over our lives.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) – “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
My prayer for you today is that you are resting in God’s control of your life.
