The Fruit of the Spirit: Faithfulness
Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV) - 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Faithfulness means loyal or trustworthy. A faithful person is one on whom others can depend.
Faithfulness is an attribute of God. David said, “Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.” (Psalm 36:5, NIV)
We can depend on God.
The Holy Spirit has given us the fruit of faithfulness so God can depend on us.
Many things in our lives are out of our control, but God has given us the ability to be faithful to him whatever happens.
My prayer for you today is that you are being faithful to God.
