The Fruit of the Spirit: Joy
The Fruit of the Spirit: Joy
Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV) - 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Joy is a result of the Holy Spirit in the Christian’s life.
Joy is constant in the Christian’s life because the Holy Spirit is constant in the Christian’s life.
Billy Graham wrote in his book on the Holy Spirit, “The joy which the Spirit brings to our lives lifts us above circumstances. Joy can be ours, even in the midst of the most trying situations.”
I like these words from the hymn “This Joy That I Have” which say, “This joy that I have, the world didn’t give it to me. The world didn’t give it, and the world can’t take it away.”
Psalm 30:11 (NIV) - You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.
My prayer for you today is that you are living in the joy of the Holy Spirit and sharing your joy with others.
Expecting God’s Best,
Bro Rob
