Walk Before the Lord

Walk before the Lord

Psalm 116:8-9 (NIV) - 8  For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, 9  that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

The Psalmist was in a difficult situation. He was probably facing death.

He called to God for deliverance from his peril. God answered his prayer.

The result of God’s rescue was that the psalmist would “walk before the Lord in the land of the living.” In other words, the psalmist would live faithfully for God because God had rescued him from imminent danger.

I believe God has rescued each of us from dangers. If we are Christians, God has rescued us from the danger of eternal death.

Let us live faithfully to God because he has rescued us.

Let us, like the psalmist, “walk before the Lord in the land of the living”.

My prayer for you today is that you are walking before the Lord.

Expecting God’s Best,
Rob Burns
