Walk in Love
2 John 1:5-6 (NIV) - 5 And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. 6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
These verses teach us to love God through our obedience to his commands.
I believe the specific command here is the command to love one another.
We will not always agree with one another. Honestly, we may not always like one another.
However, we are commanded to love one another.
Jesus said, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”(John 13:34, NIV)
Dwight Moody said, “The world does not understand theology or dogma, but it understands love and sympathy.”
My prayer for you today is that you are walking in obedience to God’s command to love one another.
