Relationship
Relationship
Moses had a very close relationship with God. There are at least two verses that testify to the relationship between them:
“The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks with his friend.”
Exodus 33:11
“No prophet has arisen again in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face.”
Deuteronomy 34:10
Wouldn’t it be incredible to have those words spoken about us?
Like the life of Moses, more than anything else God is interested in being close to us. God has initiated the relationship (John 6:44) and it is up to us how we will respond to that calling.
In order for us to develop a strong relationship with God, we must TOTALLY surrender our lives to him. This means every ounce of our being. We need to be ready to follow the perfect will of God in our lives.
Good friendships don’t happen without investing in the relationship. The relationship must be pursued and nurtured, spending time together and talking, getting to know one another.
Our relationship with God will never grow without spending time with him. We spend time with him through prayer and Bible study. We talk to God through prayer and God talks to us through his Word.
The most important things in this life are not physical things, but our relationship with God. At the end of the day, our relationship with God is all that matters.
In Christ,
Jonathan
