Galatians 2:6 (NIV) - As for those who seemed to be important--whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearance--those men added nothing to my message.

God does not judge us on our external appearance.

We do not judge others on their external appearance.

Paul described a meeting with Peter, James, and John. This meeting resulted in these leaders realizing God had entrusted Paul to proclaim salvation only by faith in Christ.

I believe Paul respected these three leaders, but he was not awed by their position in the church. Paul wrote “God does not judge by external appearance…”

Like Paul, we follow God’s example. We do not judge others on external appearance.

1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV) - But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

My prayer for you today is that you focus on a person’s heart.
