Daniel 2:18 (NIV) - He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
Daniel did not want to be executed along with his three friends and the other wise men. He asked his friends to pray for God’s mercy so they would not be executed.
God answered this prayer. God revealed the king’s dream to Daniel. The wise men, Daniel and Daniel’s friends were spared.
1 John 5:14 - This is the confidence we have before him: If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. (CSB)
I don’t know where this quote originated but I like it: Our prayers lay the track down upon which God’s power can come.
My prayer for you today is that you are spending time in prayer.
