Lordship

Philippians 2:9-11
Lordship

Philippians 2:9-11 (NIV) - 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus is Lord.

Jesus himself taught that he is the Lord. He said, “You call me ’Teacher’ and ’Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.” (John 13:13, NIV)

“Jesus is Lord” was actually the church’s earliest confession of faith.

Because Jesus is Lord we worship and serve only him. He is our only God, owner, master and CEO.

Roy Edgemon said, “To declare Jesus as Lord is to resign as the general manager of our lives and let Him take over.”

Jesus becomes our Lord when we trust him as our Savior. Then our desire is to glorify only him as our Lord.

Is Jesus the Lord of your life? If so, are you sharing him with others?

My prayer for you today is that Jesus is your Lord.

Expecting God’s Best,
Bro Rob
