Obedience

Philippians 2:8
Obedience

Philippians 2:8 (NIV) – “And being found in humble appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death – even death on a cross!”

Obedience follows the example of Christ. It is God’s desire for every Christian.

The first step of obedience is to trust Christ as our Savior.

I believe your obedience to God is an encouragement to other believers to also obey God. I am thankful for obedient believers that I know who are encouraging my obedience to God.

Even though we live in a world where obedience to God is difficult, it is also very possible through depending on the power of the Holy Spirit.

I like this quote from Mark Twain: “A hypocritical businessman, whose fortune had been the misfortune of many others, told Mark Twain piously, “Before I die I intend to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. I want to climb to the top of Mount Sinai and read the Ten Commandments aloud.” “I have a better idea,” suggested Twain. “Why don’t you stay right at home in Boston and keep them?”

My prayer for you today is that you are obedient to God.

Expecting God’s Best,
Bro Rob
