Joy in Hardship

Joy In Hardship

Our difficulties are opportunities to choose to live in the joy of the Lord.

When Paul and Silas were in the Philippian prison they were praying and singing hymns to God. (Acts 16:25)

Paul wrote that the Macedonian churches experienced “overflowing joy” in their trials. (2 Corinthians 8:2, NIV)

I believe we will experience God’s joy in our hardships when we remember three things:

1. God is with us in our hardships

2. God is growing our faith in our hardships

3. God is giving us opportunities to point others to Christ in our hardships

2 Corinthians 8:1-2 (NIV) - 1 And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. 2 Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity.

My prayer for you today is that even in your difficulties you will choose to live in the joy of the Lord.

Expecting God’s Best,
Bro Rob
