Luke 2:10-11
Good News of Great Joy
The media informs us that there is a lot of bad news in our world. Sometimes we let this bad news weigh us down with worry.
But, in the midst of the bad news there is good news. This good news is that Christ is our Savior.
Knowing Christ as our Savior means that we will live eternally in heaven and that we will live joyfully on earth.
If Christ is your Savior then live each day in his joy as you serve him and share him with others.
Maybe you have not received Christ as your Savior. If not, you can receive him now by:
Admitting you are a sinner
Romans 3:23 (NIV) - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Believing Christ is the only way to heaven
John 14:6 (NIV) - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Confessing Christ as your Savior
Romans 10:9-10 (NIV) - 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
If you desire to receive Christ as your Savior then say this prayer, or a similar prayer of your own, and Jesus will become your Savior and Lord
Dear God, I believe that Jesus is your Son, and that he died on the cross and was raised from dead. I know I am a sinner and I ask your forgiveness. I am willing to turn from my sins and receive Jesus as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
