Joy Is a Choice
Joy is a choice.
Joy is a gift from God but I have the choice to accept or reject it.
We cannot choose all of our circumstances. However, we can choose our attitudes in our circumstances. Every believer can choose to exercise God’s gift of joy.
The apostle Paul is our example. He experienced difficulty in Philippi (Acts 16) but, when he wrote his letter to the Philippians, he wrote with a joyful heart.
Paul chose joy. We can too.
Galatians 5:22 (NIV) – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…”
My prayer for you today is that you choose to live in the joy of the Lord.
