God’s Deep Resources for Our Deep Needs
Psalm 42:7 (NIV) – “Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me. “
All of us, like the Psalmist, have faced times when we felt overwhelmed by the waterfalls, waves and breakers of life. Maybe you are there now.
In these times we give our deep needs to our Lord who will meet them with his deep resources.
F.B. Meyer wrote, “Whatever the depths there are in God, they appeal to corresponding depths in us. And whatever be the depths of our sorrow, desire, or necessity, there are correspondences in God from which full supplies may be obtained. Thou hast the pitcher of faith and the well is deep.”
Through your faith in Christ, God has already met your deepest need for salvation. He will surely also meet the other deep needs in your life.
I encourage you to share Christ with others so they can have this same confidence.
Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV) –“ Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
My prayer for you today is that you will trust in God’s deep resources to supply your deep needs.
