Our Greatest Mission Field

In Acts 16, we see two accounts of individual people being led to Christ, Lydia and the jailer.

There’s a small detail that you may miss if you don’t pay close attention to it.

The Lord opened Lydia’s heart to respond to Paul’s message.

After she AND HER HOUSEHOLD were baptized, she pleaded with Paul and Timothy to stay at her home.

After the jailer was saved from taking his own life and led to Christ by Paul and Silas, he brought them into his house, fed them, and rejoiced “because he had come to believe in God WITH HIS ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD” (Acts 16:34).

As parents, our priority should not be making sure my child excels academically, athletically, or socially.

None of those are bad things, and I certainly want her to do well in them.

However, my absolute greatest priority should be teaching her the gospel and leading her to Christ.

Let us prioritize Christ in our households above all else!

In Christ,
Jonathan
