Unknown Destinations
Unknown Destinations
Hebrews 11:8 (NIV) - By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.
Most of us want to know our destinations.
This applies to our travels, our lives, and our discipleship.
But, like Abraham, sometimes God calls us to follow him without knowing our destination.
One commentator said this: “Abraham was one who could go out, knowing that it was right to do so, but not knowing where it would all lead”. (The Expositor’s Bible Commentary, v.12, p.118)
Maybe God has called you to follow him without revealing your destination.
By faith, follow him anyway.
God will guide you.
I think knowing our destination is not as important as our willingness to follow.
My prayer for you today is that you are following God’s call even to an unknown destination.
Expecting God’s Best,
Bro Rob
