The Lord is Our Protector
The Lord is Our Protector
“Protect me, God, for I take refuge in you.”—Psalm 16:1
Security is something that we value. We have locks on our homes and vehicles to secure them and keep us safe.
We have alarms to alert us that our homes or vehicles are in danger.
Many people carry weapons for self-defense for their own safety, as well as the safety of their families.
David was concerned for his life. At times, his life was literally being sought after by his enemies.
As believers, we expect God’s protection. Make sure we read ALL of Psalm 16:1. It says, “Protect me, God, for I take refuge in you.”
David was a mighty warrior, but he constantly sought refuge in God.
Even in our strength, God is stronger. Even on the best of days, we should still seek refuge in God.
Rest knowing that no matter what hardship you face, God is your provider and protector.
In Christ,
Jonathan
