Where is My Focus?
Where is my focus?
Psalm 16:8-9 says, “I always let the Lord guide me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore, my heart is glad and my whole being rejoices; my body also rests securely.”
I find that when I focus on worldly things, my focus brings me anger, frustration, and even sadness.
When my focus is on my favorite sports teams, all is well when they are winning. But when they aren’t doing so well, I’m not happy.
When our focus is on political things and elections/political decisions don’t go our way, we become angry and frustrated.
When my focus is on the Lord, I see things much differently.
I am able to have joy even when things aren’t going my way.
Regardless of your circumstances, focus on the Lord today, and see the difference it makes.
In Christ,
Jonathan
