Read and Obey
Read and Obey
2 Chronicles 34:31 - The king stood by his pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the LORD--to follow the LORD and keep his commands, regulations, and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, and to obey the words of the covenant written in this book.
During the temple repair, Hilkiah the priest, found a copy of the Book of the Law.
This was probably the five books written by Moses, the Pentateuch.
These Scriptures had been missing for a long time.
When Josiah learned about this great find, he gathered all the people together to publicly read the Book of the Law.
He followed the reading with a commitment to obey this book.
While we are still at the beginning of 2021, I encourage you to develop a Bible reading plan. Daily reading of God’s Word is needed for our spiritual growth.
I also encourage you to obey God’s Word. Your obedience glorifies God, develops your spiritual maturity, and leads others to obey.
My prayer for you today is that you are reading and obeying God’s Word.
Expecting God’s Best,
Bro Rob
